Day 35

Day 35:  Sweet C, you are 23 months today...just getting old enough to stop counting the months.  I love watching you grow.  You love to play, jump on the bed, snuggle, read books, sing, and rock all your stuffed animals to sleep.  Your favorite foods are chicken, sausage, beans, berries, and M&M's.  You say phrases like, "A-lest do it" (Celeste do it), "I want some of those", "Daddy fix-it", "Epigemees" (M&M's) and "Un zap it" (Zip it).  I am so blessed to be your mother angel.

Day 34

Day 34:  Today baby girl, you are 18 weeks old.  You laughed for the first time, and I can't think of anything better.  Celeste was jumping on the bed, and you must have thought it was funny!  Can't believe how fast the weeks are flying by....

Day 33

Day 33:  Celeste, I love you sweet girl.  I look at you and admire your love of life, your confidence that is yet untainted.  You have a bold personality...you wake up and are ready for everything the world has to offer you.  I hope you continue to stay this way throughout your life.  I hope that no matter what anyone says to you, you will not feel deterred, but keep pressing on through all of life's challenges.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 32

Day 32:  Little love, practicing time on your tummy and rolling over.  I love watching you grow.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 31

Day 31:  This picture makes me laugh.  Celeste-you are so engaging with Amelia.  You wanted her to roll over so badly, you tried everything you could possibly muster...but all in good time.  You are such a great big sister.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 30

Day 30:  Sunny days are spent outside with C, because she loves the dirt almost more than chocolate.  She's become quite the gardener, though she'd prefer to dig herself into the ground.

Day 29

Day 29: Happy 4 month birthday little love.  How quickly the months are passing and you are changing.  You're learning how to roll over from your tummy to your back.  You love watching your big sister play.  You continue to smile at us and are tuning in to your surroundings.  You love bath time and just figured out how to suck your thumb.  You love to be held, carried, and snuggled.  You are loved more than you know.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 28:  My sweet girls, you are becoming more interested in each other every day.  I'm so grateful that throughout life, you will always have each other.

Day 27

Day 27:  Sweet Amelia, you are almost 4 months old!  Today, you had your 4 month well baby check up and were so strong through everything-even the shots.  You're growing like a weed! 86th percentile for height at 25.5 inches and 75th for weight at almost 15lbs.  Can't believe how big your getting!

Days 23-26

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to visit my parents and spend some time with family, and alas, I got behind on posting my daily pictures...so here they are:
Day 23: Amelia with her great-grandmother, Tata Hilda

Day 24:  Celeste bundled up, getting ready for to see her first snow!

Day 25:  Amelia (youngest of the cousins) with her big cousin Nathan (oldest on my side). :)

Day 26:  Celeste loved Prince, my golden retriever who lives with my parents.

 More frames later....

Day 22

Day 22:  Today, Celeste was so kind to make me breakfast.  Her dish included graham crackers, peanut butter pretzels, mashed banana, and some other things...I'm sure.  These days her imagination is growing and unfolding, and it's quite entertaining to watch. :)

Day 21

Day 21:  Sweet Amelia, you are already 16 weeks today.  You are as curious as ever about your surroundings and are especially interested in watching your sister Celeste (she is quite entertaining).  You smile constantly and are simply joyful.  I love you more each day.

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Day 20

Day 20:  Today we visited the Wild Animal Park-one of Celeste's favorite places.  Not because of the animals necessarily...not yet.  Mostly because of all the stairs to climb and benches to sit on.  C's also learning to count but doesn't quite have the order of numbers down.  So in climbing stairs, we listen to her counting as she goes up..."4...7...8...2", and so forth. :)

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 19

Day 19:  Little Miss Celeste-becoming so independent these days.  Now, you want to dress yourself, feed yourself and copy everything we're doing.  Today I found you "sweeping" the floor after you dropped your graham crackers...yes, you tried so hard to clean it up.  I fancy saving this picture to show you a few years down the road, when perhaps cleaning up is something you need some persuasion doing! Love you sweet girl.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 18

Day 18:  Celeste and Arya...Today, Celeste had the chance to meet sweet baby Arya, who came over with her mom Penny.  Celeste is still learning how to share but loved being around this adorable baby girl!

Day 17

Day 17:  Sweet Mia, you are already learning to sit up on your own and holding your head up better.  Here, I propped you up on the couch and you were content watching all of us run frantically around you, waiting while we all got ready to leave.

Day 16

Day 16: Sometimes the most menial tasks, like laundry, are difficult to complete with you around...my sweet C, but I am glad for your company.  You remind me of the importance of taking breaks throughout the day to enjoy each other...and put the to-do list on hold for a while.

Thursday, March 8, 2012

Day 15

Day 15:  Sometimes, there are just no words to describe you C...you are inquisitive and curious about the world these days, and I love watching you grow and explore.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 14

Day 14:  Babylove, you are pure joy to me. Thank you for helping me remember to pause, to take a moment to listen to your quiet breath and relish your unforgettable baby scent.  You've helped me put life in perspective.  You were born a month early, at the peak of chaos in my life when I felt most unprepared for your arrival.  But you helped me understand that I didn't need to be prepared to love you, and that you would take me for the mother I am-even with all my imperfections.

Amelia-15 weeks today.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 13

Day 13: Sweet C, I love your easy-going nature.  You'll contentedly travel anywhere with me.  I love listening to you talk as you sit in the back, conversing with yourself, making observations of everything we pass by.

Until tomorrow's frame....

Monday, March 5, 2012

Day 12

Day 12:  Baby girl-you truly are such a smiley love.  Your sweet personality is becoming more evident every day.  You melt my heart.

Until tomorrow's frame....

Sunday, March 4, 2012

Day 11

Day 11:  Sweet Celeste....Today, you decided to pick the petals off some plants in our backyard, but then cried because you thought you had hurt the plants.  The only way I could console you was to keep the petals "alive" by keeping them in a vase of water.  You also thought it important that the petals be fed as well, so you threw your popcorn in with the mix.  I love you sweetheart.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 10

Day 10: My view as I attempted to finish my homework today. Just sweet love.  My only complaint? You're growing up too fast.

Until tomorrow's frame...

Day 9

Day 9: Sweet C, sometimes I'm boggled by your endless energy, but I love your adventurous spirit and imaginative mind.  You never cease to amaze me...and tire me out...all in one day. :)

Day 8

Day 8: Scrunchy Face.  Baby love, I'm thankful that you are as portable as you are mellow, willing to go anywhere with us, whether we hold you or carry you along in the sling.  I cherish these days-I know the time will come sooner than I'd like where I am no longer able to carry you this way.  Today, I hold you close.
